That is a topic I strongly agree on but it should have been posted on the politics board Danny. It's possible to move threads. *glove slap* Danny, sir. I challenge you to a Duel.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You know what pisses me off mostly about violence today. Is the little 12 year olds going around carrying knives, giving cheek in classroom and blatantly getting away with it. Now if any kid acted like that in the 70's they would get there arse kicked and their shit completely ruined. They wouldn't just get physical pain, but the teacher would probably find a way to humiliate him/her infront of the whole class, scarring him physically and mentally for life. Now this may seem harsh, but the end justifies the means. You can be darn sure that kid isnt going cross the line again, But now that it is illegal for a teacher to hit a kid, the teacher thinks to him/herself, "I am not paid well enough to deal with this kind of shit" which, they should think that way, because anyone else would if they were made to teach a bunch of son-of-a-crack-whore neglected little cunts. So on one hand the parents are to blame, But if you look at the big picture its actually the governments fault for changing the system so it is more lenient when it comes to disciplining children, So in effect (as sheggs said) they have no fear of consequence as the 'consequence' has become little more than a slap on the wrist, or time away from their Erratic home life. The government also should take greater lengths to weed out all those fathers and mothers in the UK who are not fit for parenthood, I.E. alcoholics, drug addicts etc although in some cases these people may make the best mother or father in the world, however it is still wrong for that child to grow up in that type of enviroment. So it is a combination of lack of education when it comes to the parents, and lack of discipline when it comes to schools, To an end where those children grow up, they have children, the children will be victim to neglection, an erratic home life and a lack of discipline, just like they were, as they are uneducated thanks to the way they were brought up and the lack of punishment they recieved for doing something wrong. It has become an ongoing cycle.

"All in all where just another brick in the wall".
I totally agree and I would like to elaborate on your point of "time away from their erratic home life".
On the whole discipline needs to be fortified, especially the Youth Detainment Programmes. The absolute scum of the earth who are under 18 can basically do anything up to murder and end up in one of these detainment centres. The problem is these centres don't act as a deterent because the kids who go there actually have a better time in the centres than at home, due to the lack of living in a severely corrupt house. They can get televisions if they act well enough and 3 meals a day, which they would seldom get at home. Therefore, these kids won't be scared of commiting crimes because the worst thing that could happen to them is that they end up in a place better than where they already are.
